Crafted from interlocking steel plates engraved with converging lines that gleam when struck by light. The lines all converge to a single point on the inside of each forearm — close to the pulse — as if the bracers are reading the wearer’s heartbeat to time their movements.

Usage
While wearing these bracers, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.
Once per short rest, you can use your reaction to increase your AC by an additional +2 against one melee attack that would hit you. Apply this AC change before determining if the attack hits.
Lore
Cultist Blademancers in the Slanted Circle trained relentlessly with these bracers, perfecting their parries until every strike became a work of art. The reactive +2 effect is, in their tradition, a deflection rather than a parry — the bracers redirect the strike rather than blocking it, which is why the bonus is so large.
