Blade of the Slanted Circle

A slender longsword with a blood-red pommel and a gleaming off-kilter rune etched along its blade’s fuller. The rune appears to shift slightly when not directly observed.

Properties

Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement by a creature with martial training)

  • Damage: 1d8 slashing (1d10 versatile)
  • Weight: 3 lb
  • Price: 3,500 gp

Usage

While attuned, this weapon grants +1 to attack and damage rolls. Once per day, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with an attack from this blade, you can gain advantage on your next attack roll before the end of your next turn.

Lore

Legend holds that the Slanted Circle forged this blade from the shattered remnants of their fallen brethren’s swords, weaving their vengeful spirits into the steel. The advantage-on-follow-up effect is said to be the spirits themselves urging the wielder onward, hungry for another kill.

History

Recovered from the Vault of the Slanted Circle in Session 11, after the jungle ambush against Ley-Charged Direwolves, Cultist Mages, and Cultist Blademancers.
