Skyreaver Cultist
activeA glider-borne cultist of a forgotten sky god, raining improvised explosives down from the clouds
Skyreaver Cultist
Fanatical cultists wearing lightweight leather harnesses connected to cloth-and-wood hang gliders. Their dark robes billow like ominous wings as they swoop through the air, bomb pouches strapped across their chests. Faces hidden behind goggles and scarves, they strike terror from above before vanishing into the clouds.
Lore
Once simple acolytes of a forgotten sky god, the Skyreavers have embraced chaos, believing that only from aerial dominion can they spread true freedom. They ambush caravan routes and siege fortresses by raining explosives upon unsuspecting mortals. Driven by a doctrine of airborne supremacy, each Skyreaver seeks to prove their worth through daring raids and spectacular destruction.

Abilities
Glider Expert: Can deploy its glider as a reaction when it falls more than 10 feet, negating any falling damage and allowing it to glide at its full fly speed.
Aerial Mobility: Does not provoke opportunity attacks when it glides out of an enemy’s reach.
Actions
Multiattack: Two attacks: one with its scimitar and one with its bomb if available.
Scimitar: Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Explosive Bomb (Recharge 5-6): Hurls an improvised explosive down at a target point within 30 feet. Each creature within 10 feet of that point must succeed on a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or take 7 (2d6) fire damage, or half on a successful save.
Loot
- Improvised Explosive Bombs (1d4): Small timed devices; each bomb deals 2d6 fire damage (as Explosive Bomb) and can be sold for 5 gp if intact.
- Hang Glider Harness: Salvaged wooden-and-cloth glider; can be repaired or sold for 25 gp.
- Scimitar: Standard curved blade, usable as a martial weapon; common market value 15 gp.
- Cultist Robes: Dark, hooded robes marked with the sky-god symbol; worth 5 gp to a collector.
Session 12 Encounter
A single Skyreaver banked above the crystal field, dropping improvised explosives onto the party’s advance. Skid climbed a fallen column and brought the cultist down with a single bolt — the glider cartwheeled into the orbiting shards and detonated mid-air.
